After breakfast, head to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Arriving in the morning gives you a better chance of seeing the pandas while they are active. After lunch, visit Wuhou Shrine, a historic complex dedicated to Zhuge Liang and associated with the Three Kingdoms period. Explore its traditional halls and gardens while discovering stories from one of China’s best-known historical eras.

Continue to Jinli Ancient Street, located beside Wuhou Shrine. Browse traditional-style shops, discover regional snacks, and enjoy the lively street atmosphere as the lanterns begin to glow toward evening.

After breakfast, visit Wenshu Monastery, one of Chengdu’s best-known Buddhist temples. Explore its peaceful courtyards, traditional architecture, and incense-filled halls. If you wish, enjoy a cup of tea at a nearby teahouse and experience another side of Chengdu’s local culture.

Continue to Chunxi Road, a popular shopping district filled with fashion stores, restaurants, and local businesses. Stop for lunch and sample Sichuan specialties according to your preferences.

In the afternoon, explore Taikoo Li Chengdu, an open-air shopping and lifestyle district where contemporary architecture blends with traditional elements. Nearby, you can also see the famous giant panda sculpture climbing the exterior of the Chengdu IFS building, a popular photo spot.

The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy Chengdu’s dining scene or relax at your hotel.
